South Africa Untamed 2024

Bold, brave and beautiful: an in-depth journey through the heart of the rainbow nation

November 23 - December 7, 2024

  • Days 1 - 4 : Cape Town

Our adventure begins in Cape Town, a city bursting with culture, night life, and natural wonders to explore. From scrambling to the top of Table Mountain to exploring the depths and darkness of South Africa’s history, get ready to start the adventure of a lifetime in one of the most picturesque corners of the world. We will hike, bike, eat, and swim our way through the Mother City while learning from locals about its history. We will engage with local people both in town and in neighboring townships, discover the winelands, visit Robben Island, and so much more in an action-packed four days here.

  • Days 5 - 9 : Eastern Cape

We will fly to the Eastern Cape to begin Part Two of our incredible adventure. We will road trip to the heart of the rural Transkei and spend our days in pristine nature, disconnected from technology so that we can connect with local people and learn about the cultures that continue to flourish there. We will stay in traditional huts, enjoy locally-prepared meals, and experience this magical place by land and sea.

  • Days 10 - 13 : The “Not Your Every Day Safari” Experience

Over the course of four days, we will explore Addo Elephant Park, Mountain Zebra National Park, Nieu Bethesda and the Valley of Desolation. This inland journey will take us to large expanses of wilderness where we will have the opportunity to bear witness to stunning wildlife. Some notable highlights: large herds of elephants, potential to see lions and the rest of the Big 5, tracking cheetahs on foot, and so much more. Far away from the infamously crowded Kruger National Park, this small-scale safari is sure to include moments that will get our blood pumping and jaws dropping.

  • Day 14 - 15 : Cape Town & Departures

After flying back to Cape Town, we will spend one final epic day in the Western Cape. We will kayak alongside African penguins, have the best fish & chips in the Cape, take in the beauty at Chapman’s Peak, and round out the day with an unforgettable oceanside sunset. The following day we will say our goodbyes… til the next adventure!
